Barrett, Minnesota, is a small city in Grant County. It was named after Theodore H. Barrett, a general who owned land in Traverse and Grant counties. Barrett was established in 1889, and it has over 400 people.

On Friday afternoons from June to October, you can visit its farmers market. Barrett has one school that serves fifth through 12th-graders. Younger students attend schools in Kensington and Elbow Lake.
